All of you come here to listen to
French. But
first, it is important to check that we have heard of French motives.
I believe
that no one came here with a really bad motivation. However, motivation has many
different levels. Like the rice farmers to live, a farm owner has only one

If it does not rain, the rice will
not grow. When the farmer goes to the temple, he prayed to Buddha to
ask for rain poured down in time. This is not altogether a bad motivation is motivation that
is a healthy and harmless. It is a kind of
motivation.
The farmers are asking for the
Buddha - the enlightened one - a small, trivial as a shower. This is the same as you
approach a professor at the University and recounted the things you are going
through terrible hardships like. To ease the so-called hardship, you ask him to teach you
the alphabet. All of us have little motivation, I assert it. When we fear of death,
illness and there are obstacles, pray Buddha. This is like the farmer who has a
trivial dynamics. Many of us are Buddhists - especially in Asia - begged the
Buddha to be happy, health, prosperity, and everything
else.
This is not a bad motivation, but
a little motivation. We can recite the mantras and worshiping, but it is still
something not enough motivation. When someone goes to a temple to pray or make offerings
because they want to be healthy or prosperous. Then they believe that Buddha was
about to give them those things. There is a hope that after this action, they feel that
everything would be all right. So in a few days everything is
good.
But sooner or later, they are
sick. At that
time, you begin to doubt the Buddha because you have departed with this small
force. "Was
the Buddha was powerless because I am become sick? I desperately attempt to recite
the mantra and prayer, but my business failed. "This is what people ask.
So people
began to doubt the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha. But this skepticism is a mistake
of such trivial dynamics. It is not the fault of the Buddha. Buddha is not a supreme
gods.
He is not here just to save us
from small issues such as business failure or bad health bad. Of course, the Buddha also
blessed to have a job to eat and good health. However, the supreme gift of the
Buddha is His teachings, by which we can achieve enlightenment. That's the whole purpose
of the operation of the Buddha. Before we received the Dharma, it is important to check our
motivation and wonder why we are here. Are we present here just to be
happy, healthy and prosperous? Or are we here to learn something - the truth of Buddhism
has been taught in more than 2500 years, and then apply these teachings in
everyday life? We have to examine both the driving force, either dynamic
or not have both. Because we are human beings, we will have the trivial
force. But
for us the best motivation is to practice Dharma can achieve
enlightenment.
We must develop strong motivation
to achieve this enlightenment. Buddha can not make people immortal, he can not give us a
perfect health forever because contrary, all things are impermanent.
Song of the
Buddha body and he also lost his nirvana. What the Buddha can give us is the
path leading to liberation France. Thus, liberation or enlightenment is this? When Buddhists talk about
enlightenment, we do not mean to say that if someone is a boy or a good girl,
they will go somewhere. That is not the Enlightenment ideas of Buddhism.
In a few
sutras, places such as the Pure Land of Amida Buddha is emphasized. However, this is actually
the teachings are calculated symbolically. If we can follow the French in the

Buddhism.
In other religions, heaven is considered a solid and real

perception. Enlightenment should not be regarded as something of
trouble, as something to reach or come to us. If not for our habit patterns and

of enlightenment would be very simple and pure to us. Enlightenment is when your state

three types of opinions arises:

awful." (3) We see them as a stranger and ignored, rather than feel neutral in
judgment. I
always had this idea, they often become very powerful. People cling to these notions and
then chasing after them. For example, we have the notion that a BMW (a luxury car)
is really special. On television, we see BMW move. I heard it was produced in Germany
and we are attacked by all kinds of information. So we developed a concept that BMW
is definitely really important. Then we go through hardships and others have shed blood to
try this famous BMW.
Instantly, many families are sure
to have the dispute because the BMW. Children do not listen to the
advice of their parents. Even a few people still come to sell and become prostitutes
to get this car. Thus, at the end of the challenge, if you really get a BMW
is probably worth the effort to do all these things. But do not think this has to end!
After you
have it, a better type of car your car will appear. BMW owns that now you can get
scratches and damage. All these things do not start anything other than a
concept: a BMW is very important. If you do not have strong ideas, then you will not have to
go through this hardship. And whether the vehicle is hit, we will not suffer.
Another
example that you can find by going into a bookstore. Only once, you buy a fashion
magazine. These include all kinds of models of this magazine tells
you you will look like a model (the model)
does.
It explains eyes, thighs ..

look like. These magazines have made the young men and our women
crazy. They
try to get the thighs, eyes and nose consistent with similar patterns in that

we all can see that when we cling to these notions, they will cause suffering.
We endeavor
to achieve enlightenment is to reduce clinging. We do this slowly, so now we will
not cling anymore. Enlightenment is like. You do not have a third eye, or
wings to fly to enlightenment. Now if someone gives you a BMW, it will not bother you if
someone plowed into or steal it.
If you want her bedroom to change
color, you do not cling to the notion and said: "Well, as always." You do not
argue over ideas. This is the beginning of a good relationship; no ego and
contradictory ideas. A person is not abused by those clinging to the idea of
the peace and happiness. If not then you are not delighted when someone denies your
ideas. But if
you have no attachment, you will not like raising anger for those who think
differently but instead you get all that you accept. How to minimize the obstacles to
self and cling to the idea?
I can do from the French by
practicing. Buddha taught us more than 84,000 methods to reduce this
attachment. Many of us often use only one or two of these methods.
We assume
that simply recite and butter lamp is lit few have practiced French.
This is not
necessarily bad, it's good. However, we can do something much better. We can meditate, it is
essential in the practice of Dharma. He Jigme Lingpa, a Nyingma master
said that a mantra for ten years, twenty years and so on. has much merit, but he said if a
yogi meditating in a minute clarity is much
better.
That's because when we chant
mantras, which are not absorbed into our minds. It absorbed little in the lips and
tongue, but there are too many openings. Your mind wanders around, think
about the work you do and the film must be considered. Then, after reciting the mantra
one hundred you think you're done. This is why meditation is important. Believe that meditation is not for
us it was wrong, it is for everyone and very easy to implement. It's not as complicated as
the mantra or ritual, and so need to learn. A practitioner should meditate
regularly and become familiar with the practice. The meditation create open space
and us. It's
very simple but also the foundation of all other meditation that we can learn.
It helps in
reducing the fixation on the concept and assessment. So when we do not start
conservatism or fear. We do not need to find out what to do or remember a complex
visualization. Just relax and do not restrict liquid meditation on a
certain time of day.
Example, sometimes we limit the meditation in the morning
or evening. We should maintain strict discipline and enthusiasm in a
meditative state, and meditate in a certain time. Focus on your breathing, when the
mind wanders focus your attention on breathing through the nostrils.
Please
continue to remind: "I have watched my breath," especially when the mind starts
wandering. Now all you can ask yourself, "" Oh, it's simple! Really!
This simple
method can reduce any clinging and ultimately lead to enlightenment!
Really? "It's
easy to understand this can perform them. When the water is muddy and I want

Now you try
to reduce clinging, you want to reduce greed, hatred, ignorance and so on ...
But there is no benefit to stir them! Thus the mind will become
agitated. Everything you do here is loose letters, sit up straight
and follow your breath. Practitioner and left everything to calm yourself.
But you need
to meditate, otherwise you never taste the experience of
meditation.
When someone wants you become an
alcoholic who, during the day they tell you about the good liquor like.
This makes
you excited so you drink a little. Initially alcohol makes your throat and stomach burning and
cause you headaches. After several days, then gradually you addicted.
Y logical
operation like this for the practice of France, is entirely contrary to becoming
an alcoholic. Also with the way that, now I'm praising the benefits of
meditation like.
However, if you do not really
practice meditation, you will never understand what is beyond what I said.
Some people
will fear more. Or you are a housewife or a businessman, you feel: "I do
not have time!" This is a weak excuse. Everything you do is meditation in
thirty seconds or at least a minute. Keep meditating in the bedroom or
living room, anywhere, and monitor your breathing. It's important for beginners to
understand that we should never meditate for two hours or a longer period of
time, start slowly. First, meditation in thirty seconds, then walk.
Meditation

practice will gradually become easier and last longer. We return to the previous example

are Buddhists, the important thing is to practice
correctly.
When we went to visit a temple or
a Rinpoche, we should not only be motivated to ask this trivial free from
worldly matters that sort of disease. Root of the problem must be
shortened, if not, the problem still exists. So go to let the roots to the
branches! This teaching is the best form of blessing, because I am
giving you the key to make you happy. So let's focus and meditation.
As a
beginner, do not abandon or regret if your mind wanders too much. Just focus back.
When you
meditate, some signs may appear after several months. You can have dreams and good
feelings, or dreams and bad feelings. But not to worry or even talk
about them.
These experiences are all obscurations, if you follow them
like a fish out of oceans workers. Sometimes practitioners believe that the breath is a
meditation mistakes, so easy and simple. Or they may have received
different kinds of teaching. For example, if you are taught to meditate while standing
up, you would think that meditation while sitting down is wrong. We should follow the
teachings of meditation and not confused. My guru, he Dilgo Khyentse
Rinpoche, has placed great emphasis on
meditation.
For me, it has great value because I was a real hassle, so
this makes the practice easier. The meditation can seem simple, but it will and should be
continued in our practice until we achieve enlightenment. It is the basis or foundation of
the meditation. Later, the visualizations and all the other factors can be
complementary to the meditation. The meditation is like rice, it is used as the basis.
Then
