Experience & research capacity.
Portrait of Sir Achaan Chah
Mr. Achaan Chah is one of the best-known representatives of the country of Thailand. He maintained a monastic school such as Buddha's time there. Wisdom and virtue of a Zen master who made his reputation rise as far as much of the continent.
Currently, his meditation-meditation wisdom insight-spreads vigorously in many countries around the world. A Still Forest Pool (Quiet), as two of his American disciples of Jack Kornfield and Paul Breiter has the episode from his lectures and published in English for the first time in 1985.
Although the work was created over twenty years, but true wisdom has existed forever and with time. Following the lecture, the translation of excerpts from the work on and would like to introduce you to read.
Let's discuss the differences between the study of Dhamma and the application of Dhamma in practice. Studying the Dhamma properly means there is only one single purpose: recognize the nature not satisfied in each of our lives, from which rise to the path of happiness and peace for ourselves and for all species of sentient beings. All suffering in him are the cause or the source of it. Let's get together to learn about this process.

When the mind is quiet, who also is in the normal state; When the chaotic mind, idea will form. Happiness and unhappiness within us is a product of the mind chaos, from thinking that there is. Mind we thought idea, it was taking away here. If you don't understand the process, this activity of mind, you'll be gone with the idea and is it manipulated.

So the Buddha taught that we need to focus all of the mind, keep track of all the campaigning and see its basic qualities: always change, not satisfied and empty. To understand, you need to focus and stay awake to keep track of all of it. Thus, you will be able to realize the process of pratītyasamutpāda. The Buddha taught that, it does not clear (ignorance) should have arisen out of all the phenomenon of life, including the driving force inside us. When the driving force acting on the consciousness, consciousness will come into effect on the mind and body. This is exactly the process of pratītyasamutpāda.

Initial study of the Dharma, we can perceive this process in the system of traditional teachings. But when the process actually happen in this one, especially for those who only studied the books alone, they will not be caught up with the process of it. Events like the fruit ripens from the tree loss, each of the links in the links section of the September results fall happened so fast, so much so that one cannot speak the other vegetables have fallen from the tree branches. Also, when people feel about pleasure in the coastal Center at the scene, people will get involved in sensory and cannot get to know how it has happened.

Of course, the summary of this process in the Scriptures is not wrong, but to experience it, one should pass up on the research from the classics. When the study, books do not tell us that this is the start of ignorance, this is how people feel, this is a special form of consciousness, and this is the sense of the different elements in the body and the mind. When you climb up the tree and fall to the ground, you can't describe the details you've hit the ground and how many meters how many inches; until you touch the ground, you feel the pain. No books would tell us that at all.

France is written in the Scriptures refers to the study of those things has been distilled and systematically, but in fact does not follow a single route at all. As such, we need to verify what occurred based on the ability to identify the deep intelligence of ours. When the inherent intelligence, the ability to identify, understand the nature of the mind, then we will see clearly that mind is not my ego. It does not belong to us, not I, nor My children, all ideas are shedding.

As for whether we learn the names of all the elements of the mind and consciousness, the Buddha has also recommended that we should not be stuck to it. He just wants us to realize that everything on this life is impermanent, not satisfied and egolessness. And he taught us please let go of it all. When the notion of claw begins in the mind, we need to be awake to realize and know them. Only if we do so then we Center really mature.

When it began, then the different morphology of the mind, the thought structure, and the response in the us also began to encounter that which initiated, formulated, and it kicked up. Let the concept's nature, whether it is good or bad. The Buddha only advised us to do one thing is simple: "be let go, and don't be caught up in it." But the important issue here is that we must know a review of mind and know how to give it.

If observers every element of mind, we will see that it behave in a completely natural order: every element of the mind as such, birth and death is like ... In the process, we can test out a lesson is that, when we have the Chief Architect's Office, the Chief Justice, the Chief Justice, the Chief Justice and the Chief Justice network will automatically follow. And the psychological factors that students were identified from the start. If we had a proper understanding of the ideas and all the other elements will follow, like the light from the lamp. When we consider consistent with the awakening, the Chief's Office is expected to be strong.

When considering all the things that we call consciousness, we just saw the combination of psychological factors, but nothing is falling. When we are no longer found there then we'll cling to? At that point, all the emotions, memories and the five aggregates constitute the mind and body are shedding like the left spike before the wind. We can discover this through the way of meditation.

Meditation is like a single piece of wood. Discernment and a review of one end of the piece of wood; the focus and stillness in the lie about on the other end. If you pick up the entire piece of wood, both ends together onto one at a time. So, which one is the focus and what is wisdom? Also just in the mind only.

You can not separate the focus or the stillness of mind out of discernment. All the same status as a result of mangoes, at first it green and sour, then it's ripe and sweet, but not the two mangoes. From one that turns into other genres; no longer is the fruit mango as initially again, but we also can't say two. Every word is just the rate estimated for the expression. We should not accept the words. The only source of true knowledge tri's to see what lies within ourselves. Only this new study may come to drain the carrots, this is the study of intrinsic value.

The stillness of the mind that was in the early stages of its centering is thanks to us into a point. But when the stillness that is no longer available, we will feel distressed because we had agreed to it. According to the Buddha, attained the stillness is not the final destination. Where do desire and suffering are still available.

So, when the Buddha achieved that status, the stillness is then, he slide one over again. And he found out the true nature of the problem, until He could no longer cling to stillness is. He noticed that, the tranquility is only a relative reality, is one of a multitude of variables, since only a stage on the person. If you stick with it, you are still stuck in birth and death, because you also noticed that joy in the stillness. And when silence swept away package, you start to feel pain, like you as bound to it.

The Buddha did not stop a review into the kill when there is silence in order to know where to start it. When He did not find out the nature of the facts, He became more and more focused effort in further depth in a State of tranquility, to observers of all psychological factors when they start up. He maintains consistent effort deep into it, whether for quiet there, and ultimately, he has to realize that all things, including the five aggregates of body and mind are like a red hot iron. When the other members of hot iron red up, how can you find out a place cool to touching it?

The five aggregates in one just like that-you will not know which one of the five aggregates that cause suffering in the us. So, you should not hold on to anything at all, whether it is the stillness or their status; You can't say the silence or Center to you or yours. How do you cause more suffering for your ego, when that heart you back into the world of love and illusion, there is a red hot iron.

In practice, we often tend to or accept the player, see all the experience that I and my children. If you thought: "I am quiet, I worry, insecurities, I'm good, I'm bad, I'm happy, I'm not happy", the first of which was the main source of birth and death. When pleasure ceases, misery; When the suffering no longer, pleasure to come. You find yourself out of this side were then being kicked to the side, out of hell and paradise. The Buddha has clearly seen this state of mind, it's always been like that, and he came out of that experience, when the mind is in kill, could not come to the rescue and ended up completely, so He continues a review of all elements of the experience of the mind and focus a review into its true nature.

That is why about handicap we saw there, there. Fun was born, becoming depressed is exactly. When he died, we were born, and when he was born, we die. Born Prince tail each other took place repeatedly, like an endless wheel.

The Buddha has noticed that, every turn of mind which is the term, and only temporarily, and its essence is empty (anatta). When the mind listens to is at heart let go all discharge and suffering ends. You need to realize the truth. When you see the essence of the truth as itself, you will find that every element of the mind are all false. We should remember the teachings of the Buddha that this mentality, it's nothing at all, it was not born and did not lose to anyone at all. It's completely free, shine and incredibly brilliant, not something that can capture it. Mind capture who is still in error, are illusions derived from the term expression, understanding the mistake about the ego.

So the Buddha taught us to look into his mind. What is initially? Essentially nothing at all. This emptiness (no interest) have no birth and no death in connection with the phenomena. When it comes into contact with what good, it did not become so good, when it comes into contact with the bad, it didn't go bad. But the other pure mind still knows what the object is, know that they are not real.

When an author's mind in such a State, then all doubts will vanish. In a State like mortal remains affordable? We don't need to ask anyone. When judge the elements of consciousness, the Buddha had to give it free to turn out, by itself, and then it went, and he was just a person aware of them. He just watched it in silence. And if so, what conditions lead to rebirth no longer exists in him. With a hostile intelligence WINS, he has seen the State of mind which is impermanent, not satisfied and egolessness.

And he becomes the degrees of enlightenment. Degrees of enlightenment see everything exactly as it is, does not become happy, sad when conditions change. This is the State of peace of mind, no longer bound in Aging, disease, birth, death, to, charm, result, beyond happiness and suffering, both good and evil. This is the State that is hard to describe, and does not have any State foe wins more.

So you need to develop meditation, stillness and wisdom; Learn how to make them run in the mind and actually use the same status. If not, you just know the Dharma through the words, and the term of the books only, you are just travelling round to paraphrase on the nature of things, but have never experienced reality. Maybe you're a very intelligent, but when you nail your heart, follow it?

When you come in contact with the ones you love, you will cling to it or you let go? And when you're faced with the unhappy state, mind you being upset, condemn, or do you let go of the discharge to give it away? If you find there are things you don't like, find you still stick with and also the criticism then you need to reconsider – it is the expressions not properly and has not completely ended. If you have a comment about yourself in this way, and someday, you will get to know real people.

I didn't practice based on the guidelines in textbooks; I just look at the names of see know. If they hate someone, why hate. If it's like someone, I would also ask why. You take a look at all the expressions of mind to find out the root causes of it, till then you can thoroughly solve the problem of love, hate in you, then your mind is peaceful. Everything is returned to and arising from the names of his notice. However, in the course of practice, regular and continuous practice is vital.END=VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY THICH CHAN TANH.MHDT.WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUNS=GOLDEN LOTUS MONASTERY.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.22/10/2012.NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).
