DEATH OF A great teachers
Tulku Thondup
The meeting was the first direct my death is a source of joy and great memories. There is a great Lama called Sonam Wangrol Tragpa in tribal, tribal communities in the province of my mother Golok, eastern Tibet. He is known to Pushul Lama who was born in the tribe.
He lived and taught in a small monastery, and in a secluded monastery on our way with two horses. He is a great teacher and scholar, author of the commentary, and a master of tantric and Dzogchen meditation, but prayer and meditation on His Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss Germany Buddha of Boundless Light.
He Pushul Lama passed away around the age of sixty. I was only ten years old. When the messenger brought our message to the monastery, I was with him, he Kyala Khenpo and others, horse galloped up to him. We went to the place of his retreat being late that evening and met monks, nuns, lay devotees of his crying.
I have a special relationship with him Pushul Lama. He is one of my teachers realized shortly after I was born as an incarnation, or tulku of his main teacher. He is also the lama's most important tribal groups my mother, I have a special obligation to care for his funeral.
Guided by his Kyala Khenpo, I go alone into the room of the lama. His body lay in bed in the sleeping lion pose, a posture of meditation. I was young so did not think much about it, but I felt throughout the entire room and absolutely peaceful area. I touched his chest and feel the heat, though he had died more than 48 hours earlier. It's a sign he has in mind for meditation he can enter the body.
I told Khenpo, he said, "no one is going into his room or make noise around the house, until the end of his meditation." All kinds of prayers and ceremonies continue, but at the tent away from the temple's resident lama. Traditionally, members informed the President of a great lama was kept secret for several days, but in this case is impossible. The bad news has spread quickly throughout the lands of the tribe.
The next morning, when I check him Pushul Lama, I see no warm chest, so chose four monks called. They washed his body with saffron water, wipe dry with a new white cloth, and completed all necessary preparations needed to sustain the body for several days. Then they put his body sitting on a throne in the lotus position meditating, monk robe with a crown on his head solemnly.
He crossed his hands chest, holding a baseball (a scepter of the ritual) and a bell. Flowers, lights, food, and other items offered are arranged on two low tables in front of him. I am fully convinced that lama would prefer the most simple funeral, but it became an elaborate ritual meticulously community so desired.
Though only about thirty monks living in remote areas, the flow of people from all walks of life is to and from remote places with nomadic tents, praying and weeping day and night.
Meanwhile, we find a small piece of paper with the pen of him. Say, "Now when I die, I will be reborn in the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. I have to chant 108 times the texts of the Perfection of Wisdom [Prajnaparamita in 15 volumes] and meditate on the deep meaning of texts in this lifetime. Therefore, I will be the name of Bodhisattva Sherab Nyingpo [Heart Wisdom]. Anyone who prays to Me with devotion, I will protect from all dangers they face when alive. I will lead them to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss realm when they die. "
He concluded the paper with the prayer in the following line to chant for himself by devotion.
In the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss he is Sherab Nyingpo.
In the Land of Snow [Tibet] He is Sonam Tragpa.
In the future he will be known as the Buddha of Boundless Life [3] *
I pray to Him - the root of the lamas .
Bless our child / children are born into the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.

This letter is wonderful, as is known Pushul Lama absolute humility and honesty. He never talked about anything that he does not want to say. The surprising thing is not what he wrote, but because we always have the highest respect for him, as we all have the most respect for him, but he wrote it.
At dawn on the eighth day, his body be cremated in a new tower structure half. Monks and nuns busy practice ritual cremation. A crowd of people usually covering the entire hillside, trying to disturbance around the area burned as a devotional exercise, chanting of the prayer for rebirth in the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss. The whole atmosphere was celebrated in a ceremony complete devotion, the resounding sound of prayer and musical instruments. I have never felt more positive activities of deep sorrow and sincere devotion to the sound from the heart become one great ritual so.
The president of the Lama who Pushul demonstrate great achievement. In the teens, he was so hyperactive that his family had tied to prevent harm himself and others. But through prayer and meditation his own self-transformation and gain confidence to be fearless of rebirth in the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss and led all the devotees there. So far, I know nobody knows, joyful and kind than his.
Thanks to follow His example, we can also transform. We can achieve joy and fearless confidence in life and death.
Dr. Elisabeth Kybler-Ross, a former psychiatrist, who has revolutionized perspective on death and dying are interested in the U.S., reflecting a similar show when she said: "The only factor indisputable most of my work is the importance of life. I always say that death can be served as one of the greatest experiences. If you live each day throughout his life are true, then you have nothing to fear.
