The eight worldly dharmas

Pali's "eight worldly" is "Atthaloka-dhamma". "Attha" eight, "Loka" is the world, and "dhamma" is legal.
Atthalokadhamma also be translated as Eight measures make room, the eight winds rocked the world. That is: Is (labha) and loss (alabha), fame (YASA) and notorious (ayasa), praise (pasamsa) and reprimand (ninda), happiness (sukha) and suffering (dukkha).

1. Gains and losses (Labha and Alabha)

2. Fame and notoriety (Yasa and Ayasa)

Actually, we do not need to run after fame, good reputation. If we deserve it, surely it will come without looking. When the flower is fully flowing honey bees, butterflies will come. States need not invite bees, butterflies or invitation.

But also remember that even if we can clear moral life as a Buddha, but we can not avoid criticism, attacking and cursing. Buddha is the most famous religious teacher at the time, but often also those who seek to maliciously slander, harm, slander.
We should not waste our time to belie rumors false, if circumstances forced us to clarify the issue. Enemies will take delight that I found frustrating because their words. That is exactly what they want. If we flippantly slander will fall on deaf ears.
Dhamma taught:
"Be like a lion, not trembling sound before.
Be like the wind, not in nets attached.
Be like the lotus, from the muddy waters springing up,
But not as muddy water and mud pollution.
Be strong step, solitary, like a rhinoceros. "

3. Praise and Blame (Pasam-swooping and Ninda)

4. Suffering and Happiness (Sukha and dukkha)
